Breakfast Gang!

Gang picnic on the 13th December 2009. LAST ONE FOR THE YEAR!!!!!!!!

First of all I would like to thank all who attended the last Breakfast gang for the year, it was pure greatness.

As this was going to be the last Breakfast Gang meet for the year, I felt that an outdoor setting would be apt so a picnic popped into my mind straight away, the next step of course was to come up with the most luxurious, leisurely and above all accessible location for all of the Breakfast Gang members and so I ended up with the ‘Arthur McElhorne Reserve’ in Elizabeth Bay which is directly in front of Elizabeth Bay house. This spot provided us with ample shade, gorgeous views of Sydney Harbor and fantastic space for our games of ‘Bocce‘.

The thing that rang through to me the most on the day was that people are really liking the idea of having a place to come on a Sunday to relax with friends, have a good feed and perhaps even just recover in company from the night before. I am really happy with how its all going and am loving the support from everyone, but of course more would be appreciated!

To end the post, Julia Young has put her hand up to host the first Breakfast Gang meet of 2010 with an exciting menu of Yum Cha so we all have something to look forward to there.

Breakfast CLUB meet on the 29th NOV!!!!!!!!!

The day started rocky as co-founder Hugo found him self quite ill and unable to come but still managed to contribute a Champagne Jelly he made the night before. Nick Manyheart most certainly came through with the goods!

The Day was filled with Fruit, delectable treats, inspired omelettes, games of Marco Polo, bottles of champagne, bloody mary’s and most importantly good company!!!

I personally am so happy with the way things are going with the club and am looking forward to many more!

this was special: 10am saw bloody marys and champagne and the following is a short list of the food to follow:

pan-fried haloumi served with fresh watermelon, mint and lemon juice
lamb sausage frittata with capsicum, mushroom, onion, broccoli, sesame seeds
bircher muesli with shredded coconut, grated granny smiths, mango etc…
breakfast cous cous with strawberry, honey and mint
shallow-fried, finely-diced potato with cumin and cayenne pepper
scrambled tofu, tomato and baby spinach
